Como apoyar a la escena punk

1. Support the bands. The bands have it harder than ever right now. The money you spend on a record is not going to some big corporation. The money you are spending is making it so the band can afford to put out new releases, since in most cases the record labels are also having problems, or they are putting the record out on their own completely. We need to get it out of our heads that there are rich people paying bands to put out records. It simply is not the case.

2. Support the venues. The venues that put on punk shows need help. Help with promotion, passing out fliers, and help making sure that people are not doing things to get the place shut down. If one of your friends is out front smashing 40s, or fighting then tell them to do it elsewhere. In many cases the first ones to complain there are no shows are the ones causing the problems, or doing nothing to fix them. Instead of complaining, volunteer at your local venue. Help them promote shows by hanging up fliers, or helping them promote on the Internet. Get to know the people who work at your local venue on a first name basis.

3. Support the shops. If you still have a local record shop in your area then get out of the house, volunteer at your local record shop and help out where you can, and meet some great people! Help build the community.

4. Put on benefit shows to help bands raise enough money for touring and releasing records. We all know the challenges the bands face. Let’s help them be successful. This is OUR music.

5. Be a role model. Punk is not an excuse to be drunk 24/7 and being an asshole to others for no reason. Not caring has nothing to do with punk. If you don’t want to take part in making things better, then get out of the way for those who do.

6. Give back to the scene. This is key. Do not just take. Give back in your own way. Start a ‘zine, a website, a band, put on shows, start a distro, make clothes, ANYTHING. Do not just consume. Always give back what you can. This will help the scene grow, and inspire others to do something, it will also give you pride in your scene.

7. Get out of the house. Meet people face to face, and have in-person conversations! Nothing is more personal than talking face to face. Text messaging and social networking are NOT replacements for in-person communication.

8. Be proud to be punk! and being a good human being!

Bandas que se vienen a Paraguay

La verdad que al escribir esto  no se me viene ninguna idea de que a mi blog entre gente a leer cosas que por el mundo geek le llaman "virales" y nose que otro termino que no le cazo, no quiero hablar de cosas que a lo mejor se habla en cualquier otro blog adecuado al rock aipo nacional yaré. No me gustan mucho las bandas de Paraguay, eso no significa que no los respete ya que tienen su lugar, pero no me gustan y punto! La mayoria de los que tocan hasta pueden ser mis amigos pero simplemente no le siento a la musica que hacen quien sabe pq no es el estilo que me gusta... SI! soy cavajú lente cuando se trata del estilo que me gusta Y QUE CARAJO!.
De las pocas bandas que no las considero del "rock nacional" pq a esa palabra la veo como algo medio "mainstream" o con varios "fans" en su FEISBUK... a estas otras bandas  las llamare "esas bandas que tocan para no mucha gente"... bandas del underground que llaman mi atencion y amiguitos de bebidas varias.
En ese mundo se encuentra gente que trabaja pero que su trabajo no es conocido, pq n o quieren ser conocidos como tal y solo les gusta cierto tipo de publico donde se sienten comodos, y quiero mas o menos hablar de eso aunque mis palabras puedan ser algo contradictorias... en si espero que se entienda la idea que quiero transmitir. Simplemente quiero contar lo que hay detras de escena...
Ultimamente por Paraguay varias bandas se estan viniendo, bandas bien añoradas por muchos... en si me chupa un wevo que vengan pero se siente el OOOHHHH ya que por estas tierras poco se escuchaba de que toke alguien de esas caluñas... creo que hace como 20 años el ultimo concierto fue el de Roxette o algo asi alla en el Defensores del Chaco...
En fin, le doy un punto positivo a ese factor X que impulso la venida de varios grandes...
Hablando con mi novio nos ironizabamos por no saber a "cual concierto ir" ... como si alguna vez eso pasara como si fuera algo tan normal como lo es en otros paises europeos o hasta paises limitrofes... hasta quizas nos de rabia el no poder comprar 2 entradas a 2 grupos diferentes por falta de toda la guita suficiente.
Miren... no soy muy fanatica de las bandas que se estan viniendo, tampoco me creo la muy TRUE y RADICAL como para decir "no ire, pq me parece que el vocal esta gordo, o pq ya no es su line up original del año del ñaupa"... digo iré pq quiero apoyar de alguna manera entre los miles que asistiran a que estos tipos de conciertos continuen, que este paiscito de morondanga se haga escuchar y que en nuestra ciudad exista la variedad, estoy medio cansada de tener que ir a otro pais a ver la banda que SI QUIERO VER, asi como que me está molestando que otros critiquen a esos conciertos y vayan a otros paises para ver a algunos chotos...
Ojo ROCK NACIONAL para mi no es lo mismo que la variedad de bandas que existen en este territorio... que token bandas nacidas aka en py no las considero del rock nacional! las considero de otro ambito.
Al decir ROCK NACIONAL se me viene en mente a los mismos grupos que tokan casi todos los fines de semana en cualkier bar de la HIGH, fiestita patronal o fiestita de pendejos de colegio, ese cierto grupo elitista guiados por el amiguismo de radios y medios masivos de comunicacion quizás.
En fin, creo que eso es lo que tenia que decir por hoy...
